The dainty appearance of Silene ‘Short and Sweet’ (Silene caroliniana var. wherryi ‘Short and Sweet’) belies its ability to grow and flower well over widely varying conditions, from cool and wet to warm and dry. ‘Short and Sweet’ forms a tidy, evergreen plant, 45cm high X 60cm wide that is ideal for filling small spaces. It flowers prolifically throughout spring, producing masses of small, dark pink flowers that almost completely hide the plant.
