Landscape Lilac

Anigozanthos flavidus ‘Lanscape Lilac’ blooms from spring to mid summer with pale purple flowers that attract birds and make great cut flowers. It does well in a wide range of soils and conditions including in containers.
Bred by Angus Stewart as a garden plant or for cut flowers, it grows to around 50cm tall with flower stems reaching 75cm to 140cm high. It can be used in sun to part shade although Angus warns lower light levels will lessen the flowering. Once it has finished flowering, or of there are dead leaves, cut any untidy growth back to ground level, as the plant will reshoot from the underground rhizome. it is also surprisingly tolerant of wet conditions.
